miles of coast in California have been closed after a 66-year-old man died in a rare shark attack.

David Martin was bitten as he swam in the Pacific Ocean off Solana Beach, 14 miles north of San Diego.

The retired veterinarian was training with a triathlon team 150 yards (137m) offshore when he was attacked across both legs before the animal swam away.

He was carried ashore and taken to the Fletcher Cove Park lifeguard station, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials cleared all beaches within a 17-mile radius of the attack.

'Get out of the water'

Beaches will be closed within eight miles of where the attack took place for the weekend.

The mayor of Solana Beach, Joe Kelleejan, said: "We are very concerned about public safety, we are wanting to make sure everybody gets out of the water, not only on Solana Beach but in the surrounding area. The shark is still in the area, we are sure of that."

The shark was "probably" a Great White Shark, officials said.

Shark attacks are extremely rare: since records began in the 1950s, there have been only 11 fatal shark attacks off the California coast, according to the state's Department of Fish and Game.

Worldwide, there were 71 shark attacks recorded last year, of which only one was fatal.

This is unbelievable. When you have got so much friends, you complained about it when people are just trying very hard to get entertainment and jokes so at least they can get that attention they want. You complained about this, you get annoyed, you get frustrated. What is wrong with you? What is the problem that you're facing now? This is also unbelievable. How sunny can this Earth be. The fresh air that I breathe in every morning perks me up as I walk towards Jocelyn's block.
The smell of the grass, tress and that small little fruits they bear. The sounds of the vehicals, school bells and children's shouts are keeping me excited and
makes me ponder what will be happening during classes and at the end of the day.

I'm very particular about what kind of font we/i/them/they used and fullstop. I don't even care about commas and etc, but only fullstop. Don't you think, fullstop is a cute thing? Just like a mole on Joanne's face? :P. I remember telling my group members to add a fullstop, all of them yell at me and jeer. HEY, WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM YO YO YO! :} (sot liao.) Fullstop is a very very nice thing. It just ends the sentence so nicely that you have to start with a capital letter after every fullstop. Right, yo yo yo? I wonder why am i like this. Font is also a very nice thing. I prefer simple font to very complicated font like, JOKERMAN. I liked that font when i was smaller, but as i grow older, that font just irks me out. (Is there such word as irk?) Not all simple things are nice. I like simple and neat things, just like . . . nothing!

You know, when ordering RotiJohn for extra cheese, they would actually charge you extra 20 cents!? But, when i first told them i wanted extra cheese, it was FREE! What's more? The CHEESE was so much that it can fill up the whole world. (Too exaggerating already lah.)
